Great Mother's Day Lunch
We have always had delicious food at Basnight's--Mother's Day it was the best. We (ages 66 to 8 yrs) all had something different--fried shrimp, tilefish, shrimp taco, pizza and, of course, chicken fingers. We had a wait of 25 minutes that was spent outside enjoying the grounds. Server was excellent. If you want excellent local seafood, go to Basnight's. Cake and strawberry dessert for Moms was a nice touch.

Three for dinner on an early night in March. Big place with a lively bar scene. Good water view. Limited but OK wine by the glass list. Service was fine. The broiled grouper I had was simply wonderful, and the other seafood dishes were judged good also. An upscale place with prices to match but worth the money.
Best lunch during week on OBX
Lunched here Thanksgiving Week. Fantastic soup - cream of spinach with smoked gouda followed by tasty, satisfying salad. My friend enjoyed fried oysters, she commented that breading was light, good size, taste, texture, prepared to perfection. |
